Our experience in designing for environmental, experiential, print and interactive media helps us to better create an appropriate brand identity that will work across all media. Our extensive process of research, concept development, visual exploration and testing, results in an effective and lasting brand identity design.

Experience Design

We have experience in design for wayfinding systems, exhibits, architectural graphics and branded environments— all aspect of experiential graphic design. This design niche involves integrating form, typography, color, imagery and information to shape environments that communicate. In our experience in this realm we have learned to work closely with colleagues in disciplines ranging from architecture, interior design, digital and industrial design. The collaboration amongst these many creators can result in rich and rewarding experiences in the built environment.

Collateral Design

Collateral Design

Your printed collateral directly represents your organization and is an extension of your brand, so we understand the importance of smart and effective design. Each piece you use to communicate about your organization, from your business card to promotional brochures, should be tied together in a well-thought and consistent manner. The design should also have enough variety to be compelling and flexibility to fit all of your communication needs. The content and design of your collateral pieces should maintain the brand voice and look, and provide the intended impression you desire for your organization.

 

Who We Are

Andy Schwanbeck, MFA
Visual Communication Designer

Andy’s wide-ranging education background has enabled him to have a diverse career in design. In his ten-year career he has worked in a variety of design disciplines. Upon earning his degree in industrial design, he began his professional experience as a product designer for a small firm in Lyon, France. His ongoing interest in graphic design led him to his career in environmental graphic design. Most recently, he earned his MFA in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University. His current work has taken on a strategic research-based approach where he explores the role of design to solve various social issues.

Andy has served as an adjunct faculty member for American University and Kent State University. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In addition, Andy also enjoys success as a co-owner of a small letterpress printing business, Big Press Little Press. He is a member of SEGD and AIGA. Outside of his professional practice, he also enjoys pin-striping and hand-lettering.
